OWL Everyday Technology—
Smartphone Basics for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:
Smartphone Basics for Beginners Level I meets on 2 consecutive Wednesdays for two hours and is offered free for Older Adults at various locations within Greater Cincinnati. Level I lays the groundwork for creating one's Smartphone Manual. This includes labeling a diagram, introducing pertinent Settings and teaching various ways to care for their smartphone. Participants will learn about the importance of monitoring their battery and Powering Down.
Participants will gain confidence using their Smartphone while having hands-on experience with a Senior Guide paired with another participant(s). Our Senior Guides are older adults who have completed this basic class and are more than willing to help in a patient manner. Our small class size ensures individualized attention in a non-intimidating environment where participants are encouraged to ask questions.
Senior Centers/Community Centers/Churches and Older Adult Living facilities can call Nicole Christ at 513-564-9777 to learn more.
